Secret Sister Guidelines

The Secret Sister ministry is one of caring and sharing with other sisters in Christ. You will be given a “sister” that you will pray for and encourage for the following year, with notes, cards, small gifts, etc. Each month do something nice for your Secret Sister.

  • Prayer and encouragement
    • Uplift your Secret Sister in prayer.
    • This will remind her someone is thinking of her and praying for her.
  • Remember your secret Sister on her special occasions.
    • Mark specific dates on your calendar, her birthday, anniversary, etc.
    • Send cards, notes, etc. to her at least once a month.
  • Where to leave a something for your Secret Sister
    • There is a table near the Parents’ Room on the south end of the church foyer.
  • Suggestions:
    • Review her questionnaire often to get ideas.
    • Cards, notes, candy, chocolate bars, bubble bath, candles, mail a card, fresh flowers, a plant, book, speciality hot drinks, gift certificates: ice cream stores, Tim Horton, etc., coffee mugs, cool pens, journal, etc.
    • Pinterest is also a terrific resource for ideas.
    • Dollar Tree & Dollarama have affordable gift ideas and beautiful cards for $1 – $1.25.
  • If you give baked goods, contact Women’s Ministries team member to let her know that there are baked goods, just in case your Secret Sister didn’t pick it up and they will let her know that there is something for her.

If you don’t get anything, please contact one of Women’s Ministries Team members to let them know.
