Ryan has called Lacombe home for the past 17 years. He graduated from Parkview Adventist Academy in 2016 and went on to study Theology at Burman University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies in 2022.
Pastor Ryan has long been passionate about youth ministry. At College Heights Church, he leads the Earliteen Sabbath School and is well known for starting the morning with a hearty breakfast for the teens. His genuine care and approachable nature have earned the trust and respect of the young people he serves. In addition to his Sabbath School involvement, Ryan has spent several years as a Counselor with the Parkland Pathfinder Club. He enjoys the outdoors—especially camping—and has worked at a number of summer camps.
During his time at Burman, Ryan served as the Student Chaplain and was mentored by Pastor Massiel Dávila-Ferrer. He also spoke as the Youth Speaker at last summer’s Alberta Conference Camp Meeting. Currently, he serves as a Church Elder at College Heights Church.
