Massiel Dávila-Ferrer’s journey began in Managua, Nicaragua, and continued in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where she spent her formative years after her family relocated there. In 2012, she became part of the pastoral team at College Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church, and in August 2019, she embraced a new chapter as chaplain at Burman University—grateful to take on fresh ministry responsibilities without needing to load a moving truck.
While living in Lacombe, she met and married her teammate in life and ministry, Junior Ferrer, who also works on the Burman University campus.
Massiel is passionate about reading, writing, stage performances, travel, and sharing meaningful meals with great company. She has a deep love for people, for God, for the Word—and for words themselves. She is committed to weaving all these passions into a life of purpose and connection.
With her quick wit and warm spirit, Massiel always tries to make people smile, believing joy is a powerful way to reflect God’s love.
